Breaking News : Oba Of Benin, Akpolokpolo Erediauwa Dies At 93
The 38th Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Erediauwa I, is dead.
He died today (Friday) afternoon at the ripe old age of 93.
The News of his death was announced few minutes ago by the Iyase of Benin Kingdom, Chief Sam Igbe.
The late monarch had been battling an unknown illness since last year.
He succeeded his father, Oba Akenzua on 23 March 1979 and actively ruled till last year when he fell ill.
