REIGNING EPL champion, Chelsea is not anywhere near the top of the league log this term with just two more matches to go, but the Blues have a big say on where the trophy will land.
Today, Chelsea could jolly well hand the trophy to Leicester should she beat Tottenham at home. The boys of Guus Hiddink has in fact not hidden their desire to see Leicester take over from
them as EPL kings and so would stop at nothing to beat Tottenham.
With a solid eight points lead, Leicester which was yesterday held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United would become champions even with two more matches to go once Tottenham fails to get result at Stamford Bridge today.
Leicester would be home to Everton in her next game, before hitting Stamford Bridge in the
very last match of the season.
Meanwhile, it was a disappointing weekend for Kelechi Iheanacho’s Manchester City ahead of her crucial UEFA Champions League semi final return leg tie against Real Madrid midweek. City last night lost 2-4 away to Southampton in a match Iheanacho scored a brace. Swansea recorded a 3-1 victory over Liverpool at home.
