NABTEB releases 2016 NBC, NTC examinations results
Addressing reporters yesterday at the headquarters of the National Business And Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) which released the results in Benin City, Edo State, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Ifeoma Mercy Isiugo-Abanihe, said 38,280 candidates had five credits and above including English and Mathematics.
“Thirty-eight thousand, two hundred and eighty (38,280) candidates have five credits and above with English and Mathematics, representing 55.93 per cent, while 54,485 have five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics representing 79.61 per cent of those examined.
“Comparatively, a total of 21,304 representing 30.38 per cent were certified as craftsmen in 2016, while in 2015, 19,000, representing 24.73 per cent were certified as craftsmen,” she said.
Isiugo-Abanihe added that out of the total number of candidates, 2,273 representing 3.32 per cent, were involved in examination malpractices.
